Feedback on the workshop

When the invitation to the workshop that was conducted on 20th May 2006 was extended to us, I did not quite know what to expect. I did think that there would be long lectures on adoption and other problems associated with it!!

What I experienced that day was very pleasant. Not only did I come to know a lot more about the world of adoption, and of course what to expect from an adoptee with respect to behavioral patterns/changes once the news is broken to him/her, I also realized that all of you at Ashraya with all those years of experience in this area are a treasure of knowledge.

The real life incidents that we got to hear that day, meeting other parents who, I realized that day, had the same anxious questions that keep popping up in my mind ever so often, the realization that when it comes to behavior, my child is just like any other,  has put me at  ease.

The workshop was well conducted, and was very informative and the topic “Girls in Demand” has inspired me to promote the boy child now. A lot of my friends are now aware of the fact and hopefully will pass the message on that there are a lot of baby boys waiting to be adopted!
