Annual Adoption Workshop

At the outset let me congratulate the whole team at Ashraya for the wonderful workshop on 20th May.

Dr. Uttara, Mrs Nirupama and Mrs Nomita Chandy made interesting and thought provoking presentations.The presentations had a good mix of theory, examples from literature and personal insights. This potent mix helped me effectively look back at some of my long held notions of parenting and also reflect on my parenting style.

Moreover since the workshop was extremely interactive in nature, the shared experiences of the various presenters and the participants made the whole exercise extremely enriching to me personally. The exercise was a wholistic experience and hence such learning cannot be made possible by reading a book or listening to one individual. It was the overall group and the process which created such interesting insights.

Those who didn't make it did miss out a wonderful opportunity to help shape themselves into better parents.
